Controls and Computing or Software specific
Can you elaborate on your interview and the type of questions which were asked?
We had to submit our resume and transcript. My interview was based on resume and the courses which I took previous semesters.
Were there any significant roadblocks or challenges that you encountered during the internship application and selection process? If so, how did you navigate or overcome them?
No, everything was smooth. The only issue was fixing the time for interview due to Pacific and Indian Standard Time conversions.
How did you handle any rejections that you faced (If any) during the internship application process?
In some of the interviews the professors needed more knowledge about some specific fields. But for me I had 4 interviews lined up so was just preparing for next.
During the internship:
What was your specific profile or project topic during the internship?
My project was to develop an software code to control a three arm robot.
How would you describe your overall experience as an intern?
It was pretty good. Due to some technical difficulties the work got delayed and I had to leave in between as my semester had started.
Could you provide insights into the organizational culture of the company/university and what your peers were like?
Most of the time my work was in the lab. My professor was great he helped me and the interns were helpfull too.
Were there any networking opportunities or professional connections that you established during the internship?
Unfortunately I didn’t get to connect to more people due to my lab restricted work. But in the residence I got to connect to various students who worked under different professor and belongs from different fields.

Based on your experience, would you recommend this internship to others interested in the same field? If so, what aspects make it worth recommending? If not, what factors influenced your perspective
I would definitely recommend this research internship to those who are really into research. This gives an idea about living abroad for studying purposes along with new culture, people and surrounding.
Any other insights which you want to provide people aspiring to pursue university internships or research in general?
Socializing with new students, getting to know about their culture, travelling to new places and depending on university getting hands on experience on latest technology.
