Basic Information

  • Curriculam: DD
  • Name: Aryan Tamboli
  • Current Year of Study : 4th
  • Year of Internship: 2025
  • **Role during Internship **: Analog Design Intern
  • Duration: 2 months
  • What kind of roles/companies were you primarily aiming for?: I was aiming for digital and analog profiles. So Google Hardware, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm these were the companies I was targetting.

    Motivations

I enjoyed the analog circuits course (EE204), digital system design(EE 224) and the projects done in the course and labs. So I was equally interested in both analog and digital

Resources

For analog, I went through EE204 completely, I also practiced questions based on RLC circuits and opamps from youtube videos. RLC circuits and OPAMPS are really important, these are mostly asked in the interview. For digital, I went to the basic digital electronics - logic gates, flip flops, counters, FSM and practiced questions from question bank provided by seniors. Also learned verilog and practiced lab (EE214) problems again.

Main Topics

For analog, focus more on RLC circuits and opamp, try to build intuitions - important for interview. For digital do basic digital electronics well - Boolean algebra, logic gates, muxes , FF, FSM and also STA (not covered in courses) Practice some verilog

Selection process

Technical test for TI included aptitude section, analog section and digital section. Aptitude was common for all roles. Questions were of easy to moderate level in both analog and digital. If you are comfortable with basic circuit solving and EE204, it’s easy to clear the test. After test, I was shortlisted for both profiles and interview was scheduled. Both interviews was nearly of 1 hour.

Road-blocks

I was not shortlisted for Google Hardware interviews, after this I directly applied for TI. After not getting shortlisted for Google, I was a bit worried but then prepared more for TI, there was no other option.

Work during internship

During the project, I worked with Wireless Infrastructure team where I worked on the high speed data streaming applications.

Overall Internship Experience

Overall experience was really good at TI, the work culture is great. Mentor guided me properly and I really learned a lot.

Networking opportunities

Yeah I made good connection with the team, with the people working in different domains.

Reccomended or not

Yeah it’s a great intership for anyone interested in core.
