The role was of LFT (low frequency trading) in nature. Building/ benchmarking models (pricing models). Lot of ML concepts utilised.

1 test + 3 rounds of technical interviews

What was your preparation strategy for Quant roles (trading and/or software)?

Grip on Probability, statistics, ML, Maths and DSA concepts

What were the working hours like?

7-8 hours

How would you describe the structure, work culture and work-life balance of the company?

GS is culturally good and vibrant, many collaborative, social volunteering, well being and fun events throughout the year. Work-life balance is standard, team-to-team basis. People there are helpful and very approachable.

A lot of Quant firms claim they don’t have silos, and use this as a USP. How true is this for the company you interned at?

Yup no silos, in the experience I had :)

Strongly based on how you approach and answer the questions in interviews

How did the internship influence your career interests?

Gave me a good enough reason to stay in the domain I interned in.

Stick to basics and standard references: Green book, brainsteller, probability courses and Leetcode for DSA
