What was your specific profile or project topic during the internship? Like what exactly did you work upon during your internship?
My project was purely research oriented in GNN RnD, the main aim was to figure out some mathematical framework of how certain things are happening and hopefully get a paper or a patent out.
What specific domain or field did you target to get an internship in?
AI ML RnD
Were there any other companies where you applied for role in similar profile where you did not get the same opportunity?
nan
What resources did you utilize to prepare for the tests/interviews?
Should be well versed in various ML architectures - can be easily done using GfG and books like PRML - Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning. If you are doing a DS minor then you will easily have enough of a background. Just have 1-2 more projects of some sort done in ML. Some basic DSA should get you througb the coding part of the test
Can you elaborate on your interview and the type of questions which were asked in the test and interview?
The interview was mostly based on ML projects in your resume. They would ask various questions about the ML arch involved and some other probability questions. Maybe expect a green book question in the last round.
Could you provide insights into the organizational culture of the company/university and what your peers were like?
Was like a college group funnily(everyone got all the work done last minute but all the work was finished). My co-interns were quite amazing , i had a lot of fun with them and they were quite enthusiastic about teh research as well.
Were there any networking opportunities or professional connections that you established during the internship?
Yes the networking was quite great, my manager and buddy were quite enthusiastic to stay in touch
How keen is the company on hiring interns as full-time employees in the future? How ready are they regarding PPOs?
They are quite keen to distribute PPOs. Around 80% of the hiring pipeline is through intern PPOs.
How would you describe your overall experience as an intern? Did you explore anything new, or was it just a good-pay good-work desk-job?
Quite amazing, it was not some dull report or ppt making, i read a lot of research papers and learnt a ton of new stuff. Got to experiment on a lot of things in order to figure out the new resaerch things, we filed a patent and started work on a resaech paper as well.
Would you recommend this internship opportunity to your juniors? Anything additional (tips regarding preparation, insight about the company anything) you would like to mention/point out?
Yes, i would quite recommend this.
