Domain Targeted
Although I was aiming for VLSI roles as per interest to pursue in career which are offered by Google, TI, Qualcomm, Nvidia where DD students are not eligible for Google and Nvidia and couldn’t make for TI/Qualcomm. Then next comes the automobile companies i.e. JLR, Bajaj etc. Ola came for first time at our time. These roles essentially need knowledge of power engineering and basics of other modules of electrical.
Yes, the courses/projects and scope of this technology in future motivated me to build my career in this field. EV requires engineers from multiple disciplines. There is a need for software, digital/analog, power electronics, embedded, signals and power engineers. Even Mechanical/chemical engineers to extrapolate.
Preparation Resources
For EV roles, revising the coursework only is enough. To name the courses, digital, analog, devices and all power courses are sufficient. But you should be very thorough with your resume. For Ola, selection was completely resume-based. Bajaj asked questions beyond our scope, but one doesn’t need to worry about it.
Usually it is motors, converters/inverters, VIZ equations, RLC circuits, but overall it can be anything from what is described above.

Yes, got rejections from TI/Qualcomm/Bajaj. I would say keep trying, improving and learning from your mistakes. Take advice from seniors. Be prepared beforehand as best you can.

Project Work
I didn’t work on anything technical. I was in a product team. I had to do techno-managerial work for the Ola Shakti product - UPS.
Overall Experience
Work Culture is fine for an intern, but no on-roll employee is satisfied there. Frequent firings happen, and appraisals didn’t happened from long. Someone can be fired, or people are resigning. I was not given any project; I had to do tasks given by my manager. Although all colleagues were very nice, I had a nice time with them. Nothing other than a stipend was offered. Facilities are at the bare minimum.
Networking Opportunities
No, only colleagues at the office. But you can talk to anyone in the company; irrespective of whether you are an intern and the other person is a CTO. It depends on your motivation. But there were no activities for networking within and outside.
Recommendation & Advice
No PPO can be kept, as it is not reliable. In my case, I didn’t gained much technical knowledge; it was my first corporate internship. What I gained is connections, friends, stipend, experience and good memories. As an independent intern, it’s good if you are in a relevant team, but not to continue for a long term. Conclusion, I recommend interning at Ola.
