I was preparing for the core electrical profile, especially digital electronics roles.

I chose this because I liked the digital and embedded courses and also the VLSI design course. I liked the digital lab especially and hence the choice of role.

Preparation Resources

Digital circuits notes and YouTube videos on STA. Also, the Digital question bank

Analog and digital course slides/notes will cover most of the things. Also practice questions from the digital question bank.

Project Work

I worked in the Power Grid Network team. My work was mostly based on the automation of the power grid generation for the chip.

Overall Experience

The work culture is casual with flexible timings. I had imagined the work to be more core /digital related but most of the interns were given automation tasks. The manager and mentors assigned to me were supportive. Qualcomm gives its interns many facilities like accommodation, meals in the office, travel from home/insti, etc.

Recommendation & Advice

I would definitely recommend this intern to others. Just that I had expected something different from a core corporate intern. But the experience is worth trying.
