I did not intend to choose this profile. I had always been very enthusiastic about electrical core, to be specific, controls and robotics, because of which I was interning with Prof. Pavan Tallapragada at IISC Bangalore during my second year summer when I bumped my head into a webmail regarding some quiz/competition that was happening, I wasn’t aware about the intent behind it, but I just gave this psychometric test without any prior preparation. After this, I got to know that I was shortlisted for the next round, and just because it was an experience program, I did not take the process very seriously. I eventually ended up getting promoted to their experience program and, henceforth, got a pre-internship offer during my second year summers by P&G for my third year summers. Being an enthusiast in elec core, I hesitated to accept this offer, but I was suggested by others, along with my personal inclination to maybe explore my summers at P&G as well; hence, I eventually ended up accepting the offer and didn’t sit through the internship season.
Preparation Resources
As I mentioned, I did not prepare for the internship I secured explicitly :), but when I got to know that I have an interview shortlist, apart from my resume prep I looked across the main values that P&G has (PS: they do actually consider it very much) and tried to mould / direct my answers towards their values say for eg. Leadership etc.
Not really sure, mainly some of the ML projects (pretty basic ones) and my leadership / mentorship experience with ERC

Project Work
I am a fourth-year student in the Electrical B.Tech program. I am a fellow who is open to exploring new opportunities that come up with an open mindset. I interned with P&G (Supply-Chain firm) with the operations team at one of their Plants situated at Bhopal.
P1) I was given a very open-ended problem statement to automate the troubleshooting /workpoint identification on production lines to reduce the time to find the workpoint and hence increase the throughput ( completed by preparing an automated data-fetching workflow followed by a RAG-based workpoint identification )
P2) I had to automate the evaluation-based promotion system in the firm by making tools that would help people to prepare these skills. This was basically RAG models hosted on their own ai tools based on Gemini Flash
Overall Experience
The best part is that the culture of the company employees is so good that they stay in the same apartment; in fact, a lot of them share flats, which, despite being corporate, gives a hotel-like vibe, which is hard to understand the value of while being in 2nd year. Despite being a product-supply intern, my projects were pretty tech heavy which also surprised me a bit but the recent interest that I had developed towards RAG systems made it relatively easier with OPUS 4.8 ULTRA MAX PRO lol
nothing tbh, the journey that I had was very unexpected and smooth, could not demand for anything more
Recommendation & Advice
It might sound like a non-tech role in general, but as an intern, you get the role as per your resume, so join this firm with an open mindset. It is mostly about problem-solving, and you will get to learn a lot during your internship, something that you might not have explored so far.
The internship was going pretty smoothly, but there were two main challenges: 1) My model accuracy was poor mainly because of wrong data identification 2) Mid-review happened in the sixth week, so I was left with very less amount of time to prepare for my end-review while working on the feedback.
technical: comfortability with mild coding and basic understanding of rag models and agents non technical: communication, leadership, ownership
Analytics: SQL pretty much during data extraction mostly dealt with python
